[PALMYRA, PA] – Brick Property Services, LLC is pleased to announce our partnership with The Caring Cupboard on the brand new Share Park project, which broke ground yesterday on East Broad Street in Palmyra, PA. The new building will be 21,000 square-feet and house The Caring Cupboard, a community space, and 12 affordable housing units on the 2nd floor. There will also be health and educational resources available. Each housing unit will be approximately 764 square feet and will include a bedroom, bathroom, living area and kitchen. The project has raised $5.5 million of its $7 million goal since 2021. Additional monies can be donated through The Caring Cupboard‘s website. The Caring Cupboard’s Executive Director, Shila Ulrich, explained that this project isn’t just a facility, it’s the future. No one in the community will need to make a choice between health care, housing or food.
Back in July of this year, The Caring Cupboard, while working with the Lebanon County Redevelopment Authority, was awarded $250,000 from the PHARE (Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement) funding to go toward this project. It is estimated that the 12 units will rent out at around $838 per month and can be subsidized by vouchers.
